Getting down to do pushups feels like torture sometimes.

The straps could be padded? I was only trying to think of the reverse of a push up. Like a sloth might do pull ups, hanging from all fours under a branch. So if you filmed it, and turned the image upside down, it would look like a regular push up, but your clothes, hair, jewelry would look all wierd, like it was defying gravity. I guess it's similar to just lying on your back, reaching straight up to some rings or a bar, then pulling till your arms are 90 degrees. But I want to head and feet to be more level when my arms are bent, not straight. Similar to a regular push up. It's really not that important.

I just did a quick search for
upside down pushup with ankle straps and wonder if you thought I meant handstand pushups? Yeah, those look tough. I think I'll try for 1 in the middle of my sets later.
I am pretty sure, even prior to your further descriptive attempts, I sufficiently understood what you were referring to..and so I otherwise stand by my comments about the torture feeling, and yeah, sure, call me a bit of a party poop...
All kinds of exercises become more difficult as we get older, but sure there could be times in which I might want to try it out, since even when getting older sometimes we do have to try to figure out ways to stay in some kind of shape in case we have to escape from a burning house or we have to walk a long distance due to our car breaking down or some natural (or man-made) disaster, sometimes, even the elderly might have to save themselves from such unexpected circumstances. Part of the reason that some of us are doing these pushups is to be in a better position to be able to help ourselves in certain kinds of physically demanding circumstances.
After this post we are up to 145 for the next report. Let's play a little game. Let's see if we can land right on 777,777 pushups reported since the table began.
Whoever does the right pushups and posts or edits their report, with the UTC time, to hit 777,777 first and exactly wins, uh..., 5 merits!
The pushers who send us over do not...

I will give 1 merit (hopefully) to each pusher who posts an incomplete report, saving the total, until the next table posting, if 777777 is the current total.
my report: 100k,DirtyKeyboard,363,37467,I did zero handstand pushups because those are scary
777165 + 45 + 104 = 777314
(It is allowed to only post about one part of your total, and add the remaining to your next report. Like if the team total is 777,776 and you do 100 pushups a day, you can do your 100 and then just report 1 pushup, and then 199 the next report, if you care about this little game at all.

)
Edit: You know what my favorite part of the response was? When they made the end letter lowercase, and made the end number a capital letter to be as exactly wrong as possible. (This is the sarcastic, passive aggresive stuff.)
There is almost no way that an exact 777,777 could be achieved unless you are giving hourly updates and guys are ready, willing and/or able to cooperate by refraining from putting in their today reports with some guy achieving the 777,777 number and then further reports being withheld once the number were to be achieved.
Call me a doubting Thomas, yet I will cooperate by withholding my today's pushups, unless you happen to need some more pushups to reach the targeted outcome... There are ONLY 4 more hours until your regular time for the script to run...I guess unless you keep running the script after every report so then it shows how many pushups the next report has to contain, and hope that two similar reports are not submitted at the same time... even in mining the will be one block that beats the other, even by a fraction of a second.

Nice game @ DirtyKeyboard I believe this will also make push up thread to be more fun I will also add one merit to who so ever wins this game.
I want to get something clear are we to report just ones and if for example I did 50 push up am I to write my report this way 777165+50 then if it the result happen to be like this 777777 that person wins it right?
Just post a normal pushup report format. The extra addition I showed was just trying to show our goal, it might be advantageous to keep track of the running total yourself.
Reporting today:
100k, ovcijisir, 140, 3222, 2025-02-09
Edit.
It seems that we already exceeded 777.777 planned pushups. Just made quick calculation, guys before me reported 1.364 PU's, and adding those to 777.165 PU's reported from last report it gives 778.529 PU's in total without my report.
Maybe we try again at 888.888

Or maybe someone will edit their post at just the right time, and make it work. (The pushups have to be real, one would just under report this time to make the numbers work, and then add them back in their next report.) We'll have to wait I guess...
There could be a way that a guy (or more than one) edits out his pushups for today (since the last pushup table) and then bring the total down, but yeah your way of calculating for each guy can also work if each of the guys were to cooperate and also actually know his new pushup quantity to add onto the previous guy.
