The ups and downs of a team's performance are very natural, I agree with that. But in Tottenham's case, they are not only up and down, but never up, but can only decline. I mean when you see them always failing to get a trophy and can only put pressure. In the English league itself, I'm not sure they will be able to rise and be in the top 5 or at least be able to get a place to go to the European competition next season. because the distance between them and the clubs at the top is so far and it is very difficult to catch up, because other clubs will definitely try to maintain their position.

Manchester United and Tottenham really have the same bad trend this season in the Premier League but, they have the same good result in the Europa League. I don't know how they can have the same result so far but even so, I thought before that Tottenham was more destroyed than Manchester United. But anyway, the fact is they do have the same trend because after all, their positions are close and only have a one-point gap in the last Europa League standings, and currently they only have a two-point gap in the Premier League standings. But even so,  I still think that Manchester United has a  better chance to go further in the Europa League, it's certainly interesting to look forward to.
If Tottenham hadn't been hit with a severe injury crisis, they would likely be performing better than Manchester United this season. Ange Postecoglou has been struggling to cope with the injury situation, he's fortunate to have guided his team to the round of 16 in the Europa League. If Manchester United were facing the same problems right now, their performance might have declined even more than Tottenham.
