That's not true. Whether we like it or not, there are countries that are really poor, that's why the poverty rate is high. People there aren't lazy; they're working hard to survive. They just lack opportunities to improve their lives, often because of a lack of education caused by poor government programs.

That's why people always talk about electing leaders they trust to change things by boosting the economy. Look at Africa and other countries with high poverty rates, you can't call them lazy when even women are working hard just to get by.
Many "fortunate people" always forget if they live in less crime countries, raised by parent and family, have a place to live, going to school without need to think to make money, have someone we can share story, don't need to afford parents and brothers/sisters needs etc.

When they see there's someone who unfortunate than them, the fortunate people will blame them lazy.
unfortunately, this has been the reality of life that people with poor upbringing have to face. you are born from a home where your parents have so many children, they can't even take care of them, you discovered you are the first child who manages to find a decent job to do, at that point what do you think you can do? go pay for courses to upskill and leave out on your responsibility in the pursuit of your dream career while your younger sibling suffers with getting food to eat? normally, life is not balance and not all that it seems to be.

a lot of the people we tag to be lazy find themselves in frustrating systems and environment that makes it hard for them to face any real thing other than trying to just survive. if you are not in their shoe, you will assume they are lazy and never understand that by reason of the kind of work they do to even supports themselves, a lazy person can never do that kind of job. this is never to say that there are no lazy people in the society, there are a lot of them who are sometimes even fortunate enough to come from a family that is well to do but don't see the need to work on building themselves outside of what their parents have managed to build as a legacy for them, those ones are purely lazy are the exceptional cases but generally, a lot of the people that are tagged as being lazy are not actually lazy but are just victim of circumstances.
