I had a really good chat with a guy when I went out last night at a pizza pub. We were talking about the blockbuster Luca trade. We were talking about what a freak of nature Lebron is, and how well he takes care of his body. My guess is Luca was traded because of not staying in shape/injury concerns but what we were thinking is there is no way Lebron doesn't start getting on him and being a positive influence on how to start better preparing his body and all that. So I think his game is really going to go to another level..but this is just "our" theory.
I also have the same thoughts, if there will be a player that can influence Luka to keep his body in shape, that could be no less than Lebron James who has been playing for 20 years and keep his body on top.
So just imagine if Luka would have the 10% of Lebron's mindset when it comes to their physical body, who knows, maybe he can also stay in the league for many years and could bring a championship all together.
By then, Luka will be at the top. Imagine Luka with LeBron’s strength and basketball IQ—just like other athletes who’ve been influenced by The King. Invest part of your earnings in your body, because it’s the machine that powers your business. Remember when LeBron said he spends millions on his body? That’s one of the main reasons why he’s still in top shape, even at 40!
Also if I may add, that could be the difference between European player from American is that the likes of Lebron has invested a lot, millions on their body and train and go with the latest medical and then exercises that maintain their body. Not saying that European didn't go to the weight gym or not lifting weights, but obviously Luka don't and he just rely on his God given talents.
Before him, Dirk, also seems not liking to go and hit the gym and even Jokic. Although Giannis has gone to several phases when he started skinny and turn into a freak of nature with his body. So we will see if Lebron will have the influence on Luka to spend millions on his body.
