South Africa managed to score 300+ in the end. South Africa set a target of 305 runs. Considering the pitch, this is a big score. South Africa scored 108 runs in the last 10 overs. Matthew Breetzke scored 150 runs from 148 balls. Wiaan Mulder scored 64 runs from 60 balls. Since South Africa have set a target of 300+, it is expected that the match will be very competitive if the South African bowlers can bowl with control.
Although I knew this stadium was average batting friendly, but the pitch condition in this match is looks like batting friendly and South African team took the full advantage of it.
Anyway, against the score the New Zealand team already in the pitch for chasing the 305 run target. And after 13.3 over the day to 63 Run and then lose their first wicket their current run rate is 4.66 and the require run rate is over 6.6.
Even there is some difference I think New Zealand team is doing the same performance as the South African team done in this position. What need to do the New Zealand team is Saving their wickets for winning.

I agree with you. Today, the pitch conditions do not seem to be bowling friendly. If the batsmen bat carefully, it is possible to score big on this pitch. So I do not think South Africa is in the safe zone after giving a big target. Also, in this match against Pakistan, New Zealand scored 330 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. So, New Zealand has the ability to win by batting on this pitch after a target of 305. New Zealand scored 82 runs in 17 overs. New Zealand needs 223 runs in 33 overs to win.
