I have a friend who lives in a country that has a law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, age, sex with a minor, etc. 
 
If you look at the history of the United States of America, it is clear that there is a lot of discrimination against African Americans in the past. 
 
In my country, people are treated like slaves, and their lives are divided into two categories: slave and non-slave. This is the difference between slavery and non-slave.
