Manchester United is aiming at winning the trophy so that they can automatically get a ticket to UCL, and to achieve this goal, United have been performing pretty good in this competition, despite the challenges that they are having in EPL. Tottenham is also in the same shoes with United but United current performance looks more promising to win the league than Tottenham, because Amorin is still building the team, and we might see a sudden change in their performance.
No doubt Manchester United's performance is almost the same as that of Tottenham, but still Manchester United is performing better in the Europa League because of all the teams that performed in the first 8 games of the Europa League. It’s only Manchester United that played all the 8 games without being defeated but still somehow is not relevant because they ended up going on a draw of 3 games out of the 8 and won 5. So if they are to be compared with Tottenham, I will say Manchester United's performance is better, but talking about them winning the trophy, then I will take it as a doubt because there are other teams that might be a threat to Manchester United, teams like Bilbao and Lazio.
