I believe that you should not lend money to people who are addicted to gambling and alcohol, as you are not helping them, but supporting their addiction. In my opinion, it is much more productive to educate them about the harm of their addictions. Addiction is a kind of disease that can be very difficult to cope with, especially for people who have a psychological predisposition to it. If we help such people, we should only help them with full confidence that the money will not be used to support their addiction.
That should be the right approach with such people as I know addiction can play very bad "jokes" to the one being addicted. I have been there myself and when everyone was telling me to quit gambling many years ago I didn't listen and went deep down in the abyss more as voices in my head, addiction, was telling me to continue playing as soon you will hit the big win which in fact I never did. It took me many years of gambling failures to realize that I was not in the right path and so many addicted persons do not realize this and continue gambling like nothing bad is happening. So the approach is extremely important.
There are many addicted gamblers who cannot admit to themselves that they are not like that but contradict their actions. What is also difficult for gamblers who are addicted to gambling is that you cannot stop them when they want to play gambling in any casino whether online or physical casino.
Then when you see or notice that they often play gambling even though they are not a bad person but always find ways to play gambling.
