It should not be compared in terms of how it works because even though bitcoin has advanced in terms of technology and different systems, they still have quite significant differences. Bitcoin is resistant to inflation so its journey is considered as one of the assets that can maintain value while fiat currencies continue to experience depreciation in value so that when inflation occurs, it actually worsens its journey. Fiat currencies also lose value in the future and there is no potential for storing value so in that capacity bitcoin is much better for someone to use.
Bitcoin is indeed suitable for a long-term value storage asset because Bitcoin cannot be destroyed by inflation, but money is still needed to simply buy the things we want through life. Because when Bitcoin is considered the best asset that is able to store value better in the long term, of course there will be a sense of affection to use it and exchange it for other goods. But if it is just to take advantage of the benefits through Bitcoin to buy the things we want in life, I think that would not be wrong to do, but we must believe that Bitcoin can always provide more in the future which we cannot get through saving money because money is always defeated by inflation.
