While i see high winning jackpots in lottery as a perfect tool to lure in more people, imho this change is more than welcome, as allocating some of that to lower tiers is a good incentive for hodlers.
Depending how beneficial that ends up being, it could actually encourage token holders to buy (or convert) more shuffle tokens with their smaller winnings.
Now i am getting more hopeful again. I just hope that they won't change their minds again radically to something like staking, or other ways to create unnecessary inflation. I don't think so, but i didn't think they would change burning method radically either.
"Lure" is, I personally believe, not a good word in this instance. It's a word used for mere services that could either be illegal or a scam. Services like Shuffle, Stake, and the other larger crypto casinos are neither of those.
Plus the change is merely giving a sort of balance when the jackpot is large enough. The change doesn't happen for smaller jackpots.
I used the word lure, because while using high lottery price to attract more people is legal, it's still more or less misleading. And targeting most vulnerable people who lack capacity to understand their lack of changes to win.
And it seems i myself miscalculated the changes to win the top price again, because i didn't include the fact that 18 bonus numbers come from a "separate ball chamber". So changes to win 5 balls and one bonus ball in shuffle is around 1 : 7,000,000,000
To put that in in perspective, if you are playing 1000 tickets weekly, your changes to statistically get the winning ticket would take 100k years
People just see the change existing, not grasping that they aren't winning it with a thousand tickets in a 100k+ years.
This is why i said that putting some of that money to lower tiers is a good idea.
Lotteries are always known to have worse probabilities of winning than other casino games like slot machines. Plus there's no luring here with someone inside the casino who's waiting to rape you. Haha. Lotteries promoted by any casino are merely sort of warm-ups or as introductions to the casino itself.
The probabilities might be low, but they are sometimes entertaining to play if you merely want something to wait for during your week.
