Yes, I agree with you on the subject of self-control. A gambler should have self-control and ensure the safety of his money if he is not in the position of losing too much money. Success for those patient gamblers who gamble for entertainment and can limit it to a limited extent. Limitation is the allocation of money and time allocation as you have to focus on the fact that the situation of losing in gambling is increasing and you can lose more money as more time passes in that situation you should stop because you would loss more. Be preventive than making up for the loss after losing so that money can be retained and the tendency to get entertainment regularly. Avoid the habit of gambling more in the hope of getting more profit and limit it with special qualities like self-control.
The thing to note is that in gambling the victory is uncertain, therefore gambling is said to be a game of probability, so there is no certainty of the victory that we can get, this certainly requires good self-control because without good self-control we can experience greater losses such as losing money in larger amounts. In addition, I myself think that this gambling can be one thing to test everyone's patience with those who can be patient, they will be in a safe state.

In contrast to those who cannot be patient, such as those who pursue victory because they are obsessed with victory, they will most likely experience bad things, such as losing large amounts of money or even more than that.
