reading this doesnt sound like a reversal switch..
.. sounds more like a spread prevention
but does stop the next cell at the critical moment before.. it too becomes diseased
so just a way to stop it getting worse, which im guessing that the scientists then are suggesting, when they halt the progress of cancer to no longer metastasise to legal amount of spread, people can live with it as benign, where its then more easily able to manage by either living with it as a lump you just have forever, always on meds to stop the spread later. or due to catching it early, it remains operable without a deadline due to lack of spread
