Don't put all your trust in a mentor on achieving your goals in life, it is because your mentor and you had different situation that has also a different solution, so i think we need to have faith in our own self capacity to pursue our dreams not just trusting our future to others or to mentors hand.
mentor is not bad thing but it's true we shouldn't following a mentor blindly, they can tech you or guide you then your journey will be easy, or you can reach in your target a bit easy. but everything is depend on you because you need to properly execute your plan in the right time then success will come, a mentor can not change your life.
