Cloud mining scams are still here but they aren't as popular as they used to be because it became an old type of scam. Now NFTs, Ordinals and more innovative scam projects are more popular. There might come time when Cloud Mining scams will arise again, once people forget it or the new generation grows up.

There are some legit cloud minings like Binance Cloud Mining (I highly doubt Binance scams its customers with this product) but the problem is that they aren't created to benefit you, they are created to benefit those who offer mining service. It's more likely high risk for you but low reward for miner but in the end, this type of contract mathematically is more beneficial for miner, not for you, that's why they offer this service.
If I were you, I'd forget cloud mining and instead I'd focus on trading. A possible 2-5% profit from cloud mining doesn't outweigh the possibility of generating similar or higher profit via simple HODLing or trading.
