I'm sharing a story that happened to a friend of mine recently. In this incident, he lost $1,600.

There is an event going on in mexc exchange where new users are getting 100% APR for USDC staking but it is only given once for a new account for 3 days. And this event is about 37 days. He creates a new account there through his family members, does KYC verification and is staking $3900 there, using 2 accounts, one is $1600 and another is rest amount because a maximum of $3k can be staked in 1 account.

He created 2 new skip mails which did not require any mobile number and he did not change any recovery because he was busy. The next morning he woke up and since the phone was not charging, he put it on charge. And after that the light on his phone display went off. He thought that the display might be broken. After he went to the customer care to get his mobile serviced, he found out that the motherboard of his mobile was broken. now he has forgotten his email address and since he did not add any recovery, he cannot find his email.This means he will lose his $1600.

So never rely on your electronic device to keep your important files and documents there. Anything can happen to the device at any time. Especially keep separate backups of important things like the private key of your wallet.
