I don't like Lewandowski as much as I used to since his performance has already declined significantly, and he is struggling to score goals this season. I wish they sold him and got a new player for the team. But Flick is encouraging him, and I believe he can regain form because there are many players older than him who are still performing well, so I believe he will return to his best form very soon. He has renewed his contract with Barcelona, and he is confident that he can do well for the club this season. let's see if he can win the golden boot in the La Liga. But next season, Flick needs to bring up a new striker. in the club so that they can be in a good shap next season, Yamal is the only player that am sure that is in a good shap in Barcelona that is doing better then the rest. And if he get injured, is very hard for Barcelona to win the matches in the league. let just be looking how Flick will finish this season with and know if he still have more trophies to win for the club.
Yes this Barcelona version of lewandowski is by far not upto the standards set by the Bayern Munich or much younger Lewandowski but we all know ageing no matter how we sugar coat it will definitely be affecting them. Yes Barcelona can do very well with a younger striker but Lewandowski is not that bad of an option to me he is still top Five the best strikers in world right now and his much better than even the current younger strikers in the game now.
Yes the option of a good young striker will be great at the moment buy does Barcelona has the capability financially to actually sign a top striker at the moment? Selling Lewandowski will only help in freeing his huge wage load but the sale wouldn't definitely generate money to actually buy a new striker at the moment. So the extension for now is ok until they sort out their financial issues and be able to get a younger and more efficient striker than him
