How much time do you think is left to buy Bitcoin before not owning any leads to demise, detriment, or worse, poverty/financial slavery?
It's not a good question because it there is time for too late to own bitcoin, it will be a time for Bitcoin death when no new people want to be participants of this market and want to bring new capital to this market.
The market only can grow if it is attractive enough to have new participants, and new capital flow. If it is only outflow, no new inflow, it will become dead with time. It's logic with all markets but fortunately, I see that Bitcoin demand will increase with time, and it's just late comers will have to buy bitcoin at more expensive prices.
I don't think with late comers, it will hurt them, as said, if it is hurtful for them, there will be no demand to join this market in future.
Yes, however I think you missed the question. I'm sure we can agree, at some point, Bitcoin will be extremely expensive. For one who owns none, they have a severe disadvantage. The time at which this disadvantage exists, is at the time it hurts for not owning it. The reason why I think this is soon, is due to the very poor economic state globally, as well as the potential fall of the US dollar/debt explosion being closer than what we may think.
Your fear will only come true if massive inflation hits most countries and only a few nations try to control the world. Then we might start using Bitcoin for transactions as a way to fight inflation. But that's not why most people buy Bitcoin. Most long-term holders believe Bitcoin will bring them profit, and they still trust fiat money for everyday transactions. Even if there are signs that inflation might rise soon, for now, the inflation rate is still tolerable in most big countries, so it doesn't really scare ordinary people.
My fear is for the masses...It's a scary thought to think what an implosion of fiat will do to those who have no bitcoin, or who have debt, or worse, both. If we look at Weimar Republic, it only took 2 years to reach hyperinflation...most countries are already experiencing higher than normal inflation numbers.
