Seeing both Marcus Rashford and Casemiro earning such a massive amount without contributing much is quite funny.
What has football turned to these days. Casimero hasn't being up to standard since joining United from Madrid, but the initial overzealous agreement has made him become a burden to the club at this point. Saudi is definitely the last option and solution to this problem, because i don't think any club in Europe will make a salary offer of more than 250K to a 32 years old. That salary if been split, will cover up for two players with age advantage.
Everything about football is based on contract and you cannot blame the team for drafting such contract with high salary for Rashford because he used to be their best player for many years and he really deserves that high payment at those times because he was performing so well for them. A player only receives high salary if they have proven themselves for the club for consecutive seasons so the club have to place them on high wages to motivate them and keep them from eyeing other clubs. It’s a pity now that Rashford have been struggling to find his feet for some time now.
As for Casemiro signing him from Real Madrid after being an important player for Real Madrid and win a lot of trophies it was clear that such a player would not settle for a small payment and they believed he would be of good help for the team that’s why they gave him a contract with high salary. United should have give a player like Casemiro 2 season contract and extend it if he proves his worth.
