I wouldn't be able to bet on sports that I'm not interested in. It's probably important to feel connected to the sport, otherwise analyzing and waiting for the result seems like an empty process. It's not just about money, it's also about enjoying the event
to me gambling must be a complete experience if i do not enjoy the sport it will be difficult to get interested in whatever is going on but sports in general are quite enjoyable anyway there is always excitement and thrill to any sport regardless of where they are from i guess there are a few that people would consider quite boring but in general the most popular sports are not boring at all and you can maybe find a bit of enjoyment for each one it would just depend i guess on which ones would be your favorite
