True to what I have been saying for some time, I am opening this thread so that we can discuss ways to use AI that are acceptable in this forum instead of closing ourselves off to this new technology. I don't want to focus on the unacceptable ones because we all know what they are and there are other threads for that.
1. The first way has been mentioned many times and consists of simply quoting what the AI says.
But this seems to me too poor for what the AI is and what it is going to be, so I would like to discuss other possibilities.
2. For me the next acceptable ways would be to contribute your own content to the information given to you by the AI and acknowledge it.
We have to think that as time goes on and AIs improve if you get a piece of information from the AI and you change it with content of your own knowledge, adding, removing and rewriting, it's going to be harder and harder for AI detectors to be accurate in terms of detection rate.
3. To summarize. If you want to refer to an article or a book in your argument, you can ask the AI to summarize it for you and use that summary as part of your argument.
4. To analyze data. If you want to talk about bitcoin price behavior in the speculation section for example, you can ask the AI to do an analysis between x and y dates or to analyze the effects of interest rate policies or the supposed correlations between stock market indices and bitcoin price, etc.
In short, for me anything that is using AI in a way that adds value to what you are going to contribute would be an acceptable use.
If there is consensus on suggestions you make I will post them in the OP.
