The purpose of creating bitcoin is not actually to give us financial freedom, but the freedom to use bitcoin in a decentralized way, which we can transact bitcoin even without the government’s authority or any third party. Thus, having us free from sticking to fiat transactions since we can definitely rely onto bitcoin for fast and more efficient transaction system. And also to secure our financial system since we can be our own bank with bitcoin.
Thanks for the correction as the financial freedom there wasn't intended to be the same financial freedom when you here the world. It's more of the freedom to carry out transaction as you please without interference from the government or banking system. It's quite obvious that Bitcoin doesn't guarantee you financial freedom per se in having to not be bothered about money anymore because you'll still have to work irrespective of you having Bitcoin or not and Bitcoin wasn't invented to eradicate poverty but to facilitate transactions in a decentralized manner.
