Manchester City is fragile because of Rodri's absence in real sense. Guardiola announced much earlier that Nicon Gonzalez will help them plug in the gap which is left by the Rodri's absence but truth of the matter is that Rodri's absence will continue to be left out until a more stronger midfield takes in the gap. Pep Guardiola didn't do so much in terms of the back up players. Ancelotti have done well in working hard on his backups unlike the Guardiola team who is battling for survival.
For me, the performance of Manchester City players has declined relatively not because of Rodri's absence but they were unable to play well after they took the lead through a goal scored by Haaland. Some Manchester City players did not show their good game at all like Silva. I think Pep needs to rotate players by giving reserve players to help them in the second leg later.
However, it is not an easy matter for Manchester City this season. They have lost many opportunities that they should have been able to take advantage of to win in the first leg. Failure in the first leg certainly discourages us from betting on their victory in the second leg later, because it takes a miracle to be able to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
