Honestly I think the amount of satoshis or Bitcoin in a wallet should not determine how many wallets should you use. Regardless of many or less, I think the safest choice is to distribute your money and not just store them in one place where it could serve as vulnerable. This one advantage far outweighs the possible other cons for me. If one wallet gets compromised and all my bitcoins are there, I would be bummed and that is what I am trying to avoid
I always remember one piece of advice that you might need to remember too and that is "don't put all your eggs in one basket". Using one wallet as storage is certainly more risky of losing all your bitcoin than storing them in several wallets. Then on top of that - you also have to have a bit of skill to keep your bitcoin safe in all those wallets, not just keep them and leave them there. What needs to be avoided is storing it online.
