Trustpilot is probably the worst website to check reviews. Overall, when I started shopping, the first website that I discovered was asos.com. I saw many people recommending asos as one of the best website to shop but then I saw Trustpilot reviews and I changed my mind. A few months later I decided to risk and order clothes and seems I was wrong, asos is a very good website despite the fact that their Trustpilot is red.
Makes perfect sense. It's actual name is Trashpilot. They allowed a site like 1xbit to flourish thanks to so many fake reviews for quite a while and proceeded to remove those fake reviews later on thanks to public demand.
Bitcointalk is way better for checking crypto gambling site reviews when compared to Trustpilot in comparison if you ask me.
And still a lot of people go to Trustpilot before they test out a new website. In the very beginning, I did the same but quickly discovered that is actually a useless site. For gambling sites, they are some great casino review pages that you could use to check if a casino is legit or not but that doesn't apply for a lot of other things though.
I almost never check website on Trustpilot, I simply know it because it's somewhat popular place and when it comes to trust of website, probably Trustpilot comes to mind when we want to check it out. I did an experiment right now and checked companies that I'm 100% sure are legit and have good service.
I checked these websites: Asos, Zalando, Idealo, eBay and Shop-Apotheke. All of them have red reviews. I don't think these companies are scam companies because I've ordered from them many times and they are extremely popular.
I think that shield is right, a website has positive trust here from many users and has negative trust on Trustpilot, it doesn't make sense, especially after seeing how good the community is here and how dumb the rating is on Trustpilot of top companies.
