If you want to hodl, what's the best strategy for doing so? A single wallet or several? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both options? Maybe it's stressful to use a wallet with lots of satoshis? (whereas several with fewer satoshis is less stressful, isn't it?)

Bitcoin is better stored in more than one wallet. The recommendation is still to choose a hardware wallet for long-term storage. Software wallets can also be used but not in large quantities, enough for daily transactions. Of course, open source ones. You only need to secure the seed phrase. The reason is just security.
