If you do one thing long enough, even if you’re mediocre, by virtue of being the last man standing, you’ll become a domain expert.
This is related to consistency, even if we are not an expert now, as time goes by we learn current and new things, we will be able to be in places where the experts are now. Never getting bored & continuing to learn is the key to success in various things.
