My predictions were correct. I knew Manchester United would lose the match. Yes both Tottenham and Manchester United are mid table clubs fighting to get away from the relegation zone but United case is worse. Manchester United have been mediocre for a while, they celebrated their mediocrity under Erik ten Hag so it’s laughable when I see United fans complaining about their performance now or try to pin it on Amorim. If Erik ten Hag was still United’s boss, I’m sure they would be at the bottom of the table.
This is made even more dangerous by the defeat they got against Tottenham as the league standings are now getting closer to the relegation zone.
The average Manchester United player played very badly in that game and we could see how the midfield seemed to have lost its way to maintain the pattern of play.
Amorin is not in a good shape at the moment because there will be a lot of criticism that he will get after Manchester United struggled to win games in the Premier League.
You are right because if Erik Ten Hak was still the Manchester United manager then there would be a lot of criticism that he would receive and I am sure Amorim will also get the same treatment if he continues like this.
Amorim is not the problem. He can’t join a dying team mid season and perform a miracle. The players are the problem. Can’t Manchester United simply overhaul the squad and bring in new players. They have already taken a huge step forward in their development process by sacking Erik Ten Hag and giving Amorim the job. The next piece of the puzzle is how to build a new team of players. Amad, Zirkzee, Dorgu, Mainoo are the only players I would keep if I was Amorim. Onana, Bruno, Garnacho, Hojlund, Casemiro, they all got to go.
