Game ended in a draw which wasn’t far from what I actually predicted because of the stats before the match. Before the game Bayer Leverkusen had been in form most and were already catching up with Bayern Munich not until the game against Wolfsburg which ended in them dropping points for them and as such they were the under pressure in this game than Bayern Munich because a loss of point(s) will definitely hamper their chances of actually challenging for this league.
The game was a like a one sided game to me although Bayern Munich later went on to have improved second half but the just one shot on target was definitely not the best of performance from them. Had Bayern Munich managed to get maximum point in this match it will have all but concluded the title charge for me. The one point also was a good one considering how well the defense could hold this Bayer Leverkusen even though the game was like beyond them, it shows they are champions in making
It's too bad for Leverkusen. They had so many chances but unfortunately couldn't make it to the lead for them. Even until the end of the second half extra time they also got chances, but unfortunately, they had to be satisfied with a draw.
Apart from the draw, I'm not satisfied with Munich's game in that match. I believe they should have done better. Not build attacks and then lose the ball. It happened many times and without improvement.
I wasn’t expecting Bayern Munich to fold their arms for Leverkusen to win them and risk losing the title again for the second successful season. Although it’s true that Leverkusen should have been the team to have walked out with all three points, credit should be given to Bayern Munich especially their backline as they were to stop very Leverkusen’s attack and their goalkeeper who was incredible. With the latest result, Leverkusen’s charge for the title might be over but Bayern Munich really needs to up their games if they want to maintain that top spot till the end of the season.
