If You Could Lose, Why Would You Risk It?

There are other reasons people gamble too. Sometimes they gamble to socialize, or to relax, or to distract themselves from other things they have to do, which is never a good reason. Some people also see gambling as a form of entertainment, like going to the movies or watching a hockey game.

When emotionally unstable, you shouldn't risk a lot, even during that time. I have thought of mentioning this post here. Whoever finds it useful should read it.

I want to hear more ideas about how someone stops or controls their gambling habits.  Smiley
Starting from the top:

Risking is pretty much synonymous with the word gambling. If there would be a 100% change to make profit with some technique or a skill, gambling or casinos wouldn't exist as they would be unprofitable.

Also it doesn't really help the outcome if you are unstable or not, it just might to help to manage the feelings that you loss. But "unstable" i a vague word and many of the "stable" people aren't prepared to deal with their emotions either.

I manage my gambling with a set of rules that i don't break in any case. Or if i do it, i have promised myself that i take breaks and adjust their lenght to the amount of money i have gone over of my budget. Even if i have eventually won in the end. Winning or losing is not the point. Point is to keep not going over my budget in the first place.
