The title said it already, some people argue that they are just gambling for fun and that they don't gambling because they want to make money from gambling but sometimes people that makes such kinds of statement still get addicted to gambling. Is it normal?

Base on assumption, I think people that gamble for fun are not supposed to get addicted because they are not putting in all their energy, the only people I expect to get addicted is those that are putting every of their energy so that they can make money all the time, from gambling. What do you guy believe?

There's this guy, he only bet on soccer and bet when his club is playing, he claimed he was someone that only gambled for fun because he watches the game and love to support his club by betting when ever they are playing. Despite that this guy said this, he only want people to believe what he made them see and wants them to believe but secretly he bets on other games and his  interest is greatly dependent on archiving financial success from gambling.  People didn't know he was not as he claimed, until he became addicted,  that was when everything got exposed.

Is it that people are just pretending to be gambling for fun meanwhile everybody (all gamblere) are actually gambling for financial gains.
It's common, and reason might be that they are either ashamed or in denial. Many addicts are seeking help only because of intervention of their friends and family, and even then they might fight back and argue that everyone else has a problem but them. Hiding how much time you use for it is very common. And frankly i don't think that these people even realize that themselves.

For example many pc game platforms has a timer with number of hours used to playing, and sometimes that number can seem pretty devastating, especially if playing is something you do daily.
And this is a good example why we should keep a budget, and a spreadsheet with used time and money. That can be a wakeup call to cut it out. It's like overeating, we wouldn't eat as many snacks if we would be aware of the calories they mount up.
