I'm not superstitious most of the times, and I frequently select the automatic filling option with random numbers so as not to waste time, instead of selecting them by hand. In the end, the chances are always the same no matter the numbers you choose. But I'm asking this question because there are times when I prefer to follow my inspiration and select "special" numbers, or avoid "ugly" ones.
Following your gut feeling is real and generally refers more to cultural or psychological factors than probabilities.
