I would like to discuss this here to understand how many people decide to take this step to find a mentor?
Finding a mentor is difficult but some people are just lucky they have someone who guides them at their disposal. Some people go to the extent of paying fees just to receive lectures and guidance from experienced people. It’s not a bad idea to have a mentor, in fact it is a good thing and it’s very helpful to have one because it increases your confidence and chances of success because they already passed through your stage so they know how to overcome obstacles along the way.
And I was interested in how many of you at some point decided that you needed a mentor, how difficult it was to find one and how did he help you? I suppose that few people use this, maybe even out of fear, because for example I don’t even know who it could be and how can I ask my future mentor about this if I manage to find such a person.
Having a mentor is good but it’s not everyone that is interested in having one and having a mentor is not a must or guarantee that you will be successful. There are a lot of successful people who didn’t have a mentor and still were able to make it on their own, i even know a few people that are successful without a mentor.
And maybe some of you have been a mentor for other people? Share your experience too, if it is not too much trouble for you.
I don’t have a mentor and I am not a mentor to anyone other than my younger brother, i don’t take myself to be his mentor but he does sees me as one.
