The title said it already, some people argue that they are just gambling for fun and that they don't gambling because they want to make money from gambling but sometimes people that makes such kinds of statement still get addicted to gambling. Is it normal?

Base on assumption, I think people that gamble for fun are not supposed to get addicted because they are not putting in all their energy, the only people I expect to get addicted is those that are putting every of their energy so that they can make money all the time, from gambling. What do you guy believe?

There's this guy, he only bet on soccer and bet when his club is playing, he claimed he was someone that only gambled for fun because he watches the game and love to support his club by betting when ever they are playing. Despite that this guy said this, he only want people to believe what he made them see and wants them to believe but secretly he bets on other games and his  interest is greatly dependent on archiving financial success from gambling.  People didn't know he was not as he claimed, until he became addicted,  that was when everything got exposed.

Is it that people are just pretending to be gambling for fun meanwhile everybody (all gamblere) are actually gambling for financial gains.

Some people claim to be in control of their actions but they are just scared to admit that they are actually becoming gambling addicts. If you start postponing important activities to gamble just know that you are becoming addicted. Gambling for fun is simply not engaging in it because you are in need or trying to find an escape, you are staking an amount that you can lose without regretting. When you dive into the game trying to make money from it then you are not gambling for fun because of the expectation you are putting into the game. As someone that gambles for fun I always have it at the back of my mind that gambling isn't a source of income.
