Marseille don't have a power to build expensive squad liked PSG it because they are not a rich team in Ligue 1 but indeed in the previous season Marseille can able to compete with PSG for race title several times but eventually they can only be runners up and this season Marseille has 10 point below to PSG this difference point is huge considering PSG performance is too consistent and i am sure Marseille will be unable to catch up PSG and their best position probably as a runner up but in my opinion rather than discuss about race title which certainly this season will belong to PSG i think champion league spots is more interesting to discuss it because i have seen at least 5 teams who will compete to gets top 3 place and they are Nice, Marseille, Monaco, Lille and dark horses team Lyon

Lille and Marseille in third and fourth place have a market value of 297 and 281 million respectively. This also shows that PSG management spends more than twice as much money on their squads than any other club in Ligue 1. So naturally, their squad is very strong. Even so, teams like Marseille and Lille are trying their best to strengthen their squads. But they are not able to compete with oil money.
