More nukes was never a deterrent to having or using nukes. It always has been simply more nukes.
The only way having nukes would be a deterrent to nukes would be to use them worldwide.
With tech as it is, nobody can be sure that there is not some form of nukes available to your friendly next-door neighbor, right in his garage or basement, or even under the other end of your bridge.

The answers to these things lies in the amount of control God has given to Jesus in the universe... right down to each and every electron, and more...directly, through His Spirit.
The fact that everything goes on as it has since the beginning, shows that it is not yet time for Jesus to pick up His GREAT and FINAL power, yet.
Did Trump travelled to Saudi Arabia? If so, who is now in control of the US? - Stop being an asshole BA, Zelensky travelled to Europe to participate in a conference and do diplomacy behind the scenes.
The US meanwhile is "stablishing normal relations with Ruzzia" to Europe's concern. Europe's concern is likely to become Europe's common army in the next decade.
Re Nukes, yes... the problem is that if a nuclear power uses that threat to invade other countries, the no-proliferation is broken and eventually every country will not feel safe without nukes. I have already spoken of how that increases exponentially the risk of a nuclear conflict as many more countries can potentially hit each other.
So, let's start with Ukraine. Ruzzia does not want NATO troops nor from any NATO country in Ukraine, not even as peacekeepers, wants Ukraine not to have an army... As you can see these are conditions in which Ukraine will be defenceless against a future invasion, so basically giving Putin the country without oposition.
Ruzzia is not serious about peace, Putin thinks that he can either take all or at least keep on pushing for a landgrab. The way to solve this is make sure Ukraine turns this situation around. Things are completely different when you start loosing ground and not only your refineries.
It would be so much easier for you to start looking at the facts:
1. Ukraine is simply gone as we knew her;

3. Trump is trying to make the transference of power as gentle for Ukraine as possible.
Of course there are going to be all kinds of logistics in this process, so you have an excuse, sort of.
Ukraine is gone? Ruzzia has taken around 15% of the country... unless you mean that Ukraine is gone as a puppet of Moscow - that is gone yes thanks - and is now on the path to be an independent country with proper economic development and a good stance in the world.
Trump's leadership and the power of the US will be severely questioned if he f*cks up Ukraine. That would create massive doubts about the ability to keep China away from Taiwan and the Pacific. Ugly ugly...
