Liverpool already turned down a chance to get a much bigger gap, so they can't really afford to lose to Villa at this point, even a tie wouldn't be really ideal for them. They had a great season so far and I am pretty sure that we are going to end up with a much better situation here and could do a lot better on the long run as well. This is why I can see how Liverpool will put everything they have into this game and get a win.
Luckily, Liverpool finished in top 8 for UCL so they could put this game here, if Liverpool was somewhere between 9-24 they would have UCL game instead, with this game they are going to be getting ahead again so they are going to need that extra game and extra points in this case as well, would benefit them.
If Liverpool had beaten Everton in the previous two games, we wouldn't be concerned about their gap with Arsenal since they would be 9 points ahead of Arsenal right now, but they were unable to earn all three points against Everton. Liverpool must play at their best against Aston Villa because of how they performed previously against Wolves, which I wasn’t satisfied with since a club fighting for the top of the league had to defeat Wolves with a lot of goals without conceding any.
If Liverpool did not finish in the top eight in the Champions League, I doubt they would struggle to win their league games because the games would be too many for them, and Arsenal would have an advantage in taking over the league table. I hope Liverpool wins tonight; it appears they will have a difficult time playing against Aston Villa according to the odds offered by the bookmakers.
