How do we know if a wallet is open source or not?
I found in the footer of the website the words "Open Source" which leads to
their Github page. If they have a claim like that, shouldn't this wallet be open source?
I checked their open-source code and could not find any open-source code for their wallet. I did find some dapps, documentation, and contracts, but no wallet.
To determine whether the wallet is open source, there should be open-source code available on their github page, but this does not exist.
For the sake of this topic, I installed the wallet to test and it looks like the same as old Bitget wallet design.
During wallet creation, the backup methods are different. The majority of the listed backup methods are cloud backups, with no seed or private key generated from this wallet, which I believe is not safe to use because if this wallet goes offline forever, there is no way to recover your wallet into another wallet because important backups such as seed or private keys do not exist.
