Nvidia at the moment is claiming to be "World Leader in Artificial Intelligence Computing" and they definitely don't want the paradigm to be shifted from Hardware to software. If DeepSeek gets successful in proving that power is in software not the underlying hardware then there will be big chaos in the hardware manufacturing market. If that happens then we can have things like network routing and switching moving to software from specialized hardware made by Cisco, Huawei, etc.

Correct! If DeepSeek really turns the tide and proves software to be more capable than specialized hardware then it is not Nvidia’s status which will get disrupted. Cisco and Huawei may find themselves in deep disruptive force all due to this contest. Today we can already see the change: Traditional hardcore hardware controlled functions are now under software. SDN, NFV...

NVIDIA is heavily investing in their software ecosystems to stay in the game. But if this acceleration picks a pace, major tech industry realignments are coming.

What’s your take on how quickly we can expect this shift actually to happen? Huh
