What's fierce buddy? only 1 goal and it was created from the penalty spot while the rest of the game was more boring. Several times Barcelona tried to penetrate Rayo's defense but it didn't work, winning on penalties didn't seem enough for Hansi Flick, especially with his beautiful playing system, it should have created more than 1 goal. And strangely Rayo deserved a score if the referee was fair, you know this game is very easy to guess which way the referee wants the result of this match to end. There was no offside at that time, because he wasn't the one who executed the ball into the goal, but the referee's decision was quite controversial.
It was fierce because of the number of goal opportunities we watched. And it was a really competitive one as it ended by 1-0 as well. Both goalkeepers were determined not to concede any more goals but I still enjoyed it.
I only call it boring when we don't see many big chances in a game. But this wasn't such game honestly.
Next time Barcelona are playing away against Las Palmas to keep the lead in the standings. The previous head-to-head was in favour of Las Palmas by 2-1. Barcelona wasted tons of chances back then. But I believe it won't happen again. However the odds for their win is only 1.27.
