Only a few centralized exchanges are not asking for KYC but even if they are not, soon they will start to ask you to comply just like what happened to the known ones now because before they're all like that.
i would suggest DEXes, and various DEX-like platforms that have futures.
I also want to suggest DEXes but he might not be fond of the fees that he'll have to pay there for every move he does there. But if he says reasonable, I guess they are the best option.
