After being eliminated from the Champions League, of course Manchester City will focus more on the Premier League, maybe the opportunity to pursue the title is too difficult but realistically they will maintain the opportunity to finish in the Champions League zone only.
I would say that Manchester City's elimination from the Champions League competition is a blessing in disguise . Even if manchester city could have somehow qualified for the next round , it was not possible for this team to dominate the Champions league and win the title. The team's performance was very erratic.
Since Manchester city has been eliminated from the Champions League, now Manchester City can give their full focus to the Premier League matches. In the upcoming matches of the Premier league, we will probably see more organized performances from city players. Manchester city is now fighting to qualify for the Champions league from the top four of the points table.
They should start by winning Liverpool this weekend so that Arsenal can close the gap. I noticed that Liverpool is having fatigue problem because it is still the same players that has been playing for them in all competition. Gradually they have begin to lose strength and if worst situation meets that they get any injured players then the league is over for them.
Manchester City should also win Liverpool if they want to come out 4th or 3rd before the league end. At least they will have the privilege to come back for the UCL title next season.
