When I first saw the news that Real Madrid wants to leave the Spanish league and join another league because poor referee decisions in most of their matches, I knew that was all done in order to draw the attention of FIFA and other regulatory bodies to look into the matter for them. All clubs in one way or the other face issues like this and they’re still playing actively in their respective leagues. This too shall pass, they just want a faster response to their complains.
It is not easy to leave the league and join another league for team like Real Madrid. Leaving to another league would require approval from UEFA and I believe they will not approve it for many reasons. Besides Real Madrid is one of the founding members and they can complain about poor referee decisions. Such controversial decisions are not only harmful for big club, but also for every club. We generally talk about it when it happens with big clubs. This matter should be considered seriously to maintain fair play in every game.
Madrid is just creating awareness, they are simply sharing their experience in the league. The know that moving to another league isn't too cheap and easy and they might even go bankrupt in the process due to the requirements ana procedures. Madrid understands how big their name sounds in the Laliga and the whole of European competitions. Outside the champions league their stars at different stages has also won the FIFA world cup so I feel they are using their influence and voice to bring to the attention of FIFA their ordeal in the hands of referee.
