I don't know if any of you watch the match between Ajax and SSG tonight, a very interesting match that did not following the prediction of many pundits. Just when we thought that Ajax will humiliate USG using home advantage, having won them by two goals to nil in there home, the reverse was the case tonight as the USG returned the same favor to Ajax who played at home. It was only in extra time that Ajax go the goal that made them to win the match. Sincerely, without Ajax goalkeeper, Ajax would have lost the match.
All hell broke loose when the Ajax player got a red card. It became a shit show because from then on, they lost focus and where commiting silly mistakes. I expected a lot of goals from the visitors being that ajax where down to ten men but it's like they got comfortable and relaxed after scoring two goals. Extra time saw USG being punished for their laxity and they got booted out of the competition when Ajax got the lone goal from a penalty.
It was a competitive match between Ajax and USG. When Ajax got a red card in the 25th minute, I was thinking that the opposing team would score more goals. After scoring two goals, they couldn’t score a third, Ajax defended very well. They also eliminated the opponent with a penalty goal. In a match that was hell for Ajax, they could only get through the next round. Now they are continuing their way in the Europa League as one of the favorites.
