I've tried so hard for so long that I've given up to be honest. Last night I had someone tell me that I kept them from buying Bitcoin. I reminded them that I've been trying to get them to buy Bitcoin for 14 years. That I physically took their phone, made a coinbase account, and bought 400 BTC for them only to have them refuse to verify the account and get the BTC purchase refunded. They were like, "oh ya..."
People have to figure it out on their own. You can lead a horse to water, but in this case they'll refuse the water to eat a pile of shit and then blame you for it.
Wow

! 400 BTC got refunded? What a way to miss a golden opportunity by your friend. Now, how do they feel when you tell the worth of the current worth of the Bitcoin they refused to verify their account before they could get it? Extremely bad I think.
But I don't think that should demoralize you from also reaching out to new people and telling them about BTC since you already know how valuable it is and the fact that no one will ever regret getting the knowledge of BTC from you. There are so many people out there who are ignorant of what Bitcoin is all about and would grab the opportunity of learning about it so I beg you to not be discouraged by the attitude of the people you've tried impacting the knowledge of Bitcoin in the past.
