Am I the only one who can't create an account for their services?
Are you saying that you can't create Proton email account or just Proton crypto wallet?
I know people who created Proton wallet in their old account, but they are not using it for any crypto transactions in real life.
I don't like the idea of using Bitcoin with any web app, even worse when it is connected with email addresses.
The Proton wallet should be created automatically IIRC. No need to manually initialize it.
Has anybody sent Bitcoin using someone else's email? It's curious because it indicates some level of centralisation. A set of addresses linked with someone's account. Am I wrong?
The reason why some users might be put off by this wallet is because in general, you don't even know whether someone is using Proton Mail for their email addresses without looking at their domains' DNS records.
The average person does not know what a DNS record is.
So they might try to send some bitcoins to a user with a Gmail address and a custom domain, and when that fails, they get frustrated.
