I took a look at the scoreboard of the next Champions League matches, on the left side we have much more competition than the right side of the scoreboard. We would have 2 derby, a Spanish and one German and I bet that will be the most interesting races of these round of 16, what do you think?
To be honest, I actually hope that if every team in the round of 16 does not meet each other with a team from the same league, because that it feels like watching an ordinary match that has happened in the league so far, the Madrid derby may be tight because of the strength of the two teams that look balanced this season, but we cannot deny that the mentality and experience that Madrid has both in the league and UCL will make them continue the dominance of victory over Atletico Madrid later, compared from the Madrid derby, the PSG vs Liverpool match will be more interesting to me, although PSG does not have a good mentality in the UCL but the match between the two big teams of course will be very tight later, especially this season will be last season for enrique in coaching PSG and I think he will try everything to win UCL trophies.
True the shuffling would have been done better than this. Having derby matches in a knockout stage of the champions league is similar to watching this matches in their respective leagues. There are 16 teams and a good shuffle can rearrange this teams such that no two teams from the same league plays against themselves.
But on another taught what if a particular league has all four teams registered in the champions league for that season make it to the knockout stage the shuffling won't work out well. I just feel the organisers of the champions league are just doing the best the can to pair the team up and this is always done through balloting.
