What goes around comes around I guess. It's difficult not to call them scumbags. They didn't feel obliged to communicate with you because it didn't benefit them in any way, but now when their ass is on fire, they ask for your help. My guess is they will try to pressure you if you don't play ball, threatening with legal actions and public slander. Please tell us if they decide to reply to that e-mail and what they said.
