Chelsea currently has a manager with a championship mentality. Manager is supposed to enforce standards in a team but Maresca doesn't seem to have any. Chelsea have lost many points this season despite being the first to score. I would advise Chelsea and their fans to lower their expectations in order to have peace of mind because nothing is working right for them again and even the players have lost their confidence. Did you not notice how Palmer had six to seven touches on a spot looking back and forth before passing it backward just before Villa equaliser? It shows what Chelsea have reduced themselves to now.
Imagine them being ahead with a goal and already begging for final whistle when it was not even yet 60 minutes. Palmer probably doesn't want to play for Chelsea again because he's now fond of slowing down their attack and constant back pass that put the team in danger most of the time. Infact, all the players look scared and undetermined yesterday. Should we talk about goal keeper and defenders? Lol! With Sanchez as the favourite goal keeper, Chelsea is not yet ready for any trophy.
Chelsea had good results when Maresca had a deep bench, then they sold or loaned out some players and their results worsened. By the way, Manchester United are losing points again, they barely managed to save themselves from defeat, and the players who left them, Antony and Rashford, seem to be doing well in their new teams. Antony scores for Betis, and Rashford came on as a substitute in the second half yesterday, and made two assists, which helped beat Chelsea. Maybe the problem is in Amorim and not in them.
