Could a mass push for CBDSc lead to restrictions on bitcoin or will btc remain a global alternative?
There's a possibility but killing BTC is a sense to shut it is very impossible as of the moment where bitcoin is as its peak. Even bitcoin at $1k price, it cannot be killed as there are lots supporting it. It will just revamp from its wake until more people joins. Banning bitcoin all over the world in every country is possible but knowing how US is very crypto-friendly this time, it will not happen very soon.
Yes atleast understanding the technological decentralization of Bitcoin, governments getting Bitcoin to an end completely will be impossible knowing that it Blockchain, distribution consensus and the security network is not piloted by an entity.

The highest move they could make of it is to ban Bitcoin and then it would result to discouragement of users who want to stay law abiding with the fear of the penalty if get caught.
Another means it would traumatize the community users is the facilitation of transactions using the centralized exchanges.

Funny enough, Bitcoin can not be totally on extinction even if all nations tends to ban it. Enthusiasts would only facilitate it transactions with the utilization of Bitcoin P2P feature for direct payments.

One major issue to be encountered here is the potential values increase in the market which means resistance level and market saturation will result to diminish return making it unimpressive for investors and hodlers with the aim of making profits out of it.
