I think the strangest project I have heard about was one called Cum rocket, it was supposed to be a platform for people to access adult content in a decentralized and anonymous way, and also a network for models to sell their pictures in exchange for the coin, which had a float value according to the supply and demand of the market.
I even remember a friend of mine who was considering to invest in the project, without having much of of an idea of what it was about or the target audience of it.

I also remember some tokens within the Ethereum network which were basically shitcoins and intended to be as inflammatory as possible. One of the most obvious examples were a token called N*GGER, which circulated and was mostly advertised as a joke on 4chan, specially in their /biz/ board. 

Needless to say, I stayed pretty much way from those coins, which in my opinion were destined to fail economically.
